Teens at Whisk – 3 Day Holiday Bakeshop

Classes are designed for 13 – 18 year old

Its Christmas time in the city! But instead of silver bells, come make some holiday treats

Join Chef Baylor Paschall in spreading the holiday cheer with pastry delights. In this hands on 3 day camp you will learn the ins and outs of creating the iconic Buche de Noël and make a variety of cookies and confections.  Over the three days you will make and take  (and enjoy in class) a variety of treats including;

  • A Hazel Nut Buche de Noël Cake
  • Linzer Cookies and the Jam to fill them
  • Gingerbread Plaques
  • Peppermint Bark
  • Snowball Cookies

Kids in the Kitchen – Holiday Cookies

This class is designed for kids ages 8-12.

Spend a fun afternoon getting into the holiday spirit, plus bring home a variety of Holiday Cookies to share. Pastry Chef Lee Baker, will teach your kids how to make her favorite holiday cookie recipes. First, we’ll whip up a couple of varieties of cookie dough, learning about measuring for consistency, mixing processes and best ingredients to use. Afterwards, we frost and decorate our sugar cookies in holiday style. We will work on rolling, baking and cooling techniques to get foolproof results. Hand selected, kid tested favorites are on the menu for this class. At Whisk, we make learning fun while building confidence and pride in kids. You will sample your cookies in class and take the rest home to share.

You will make:

  • Frosted Holiday Sugar Cookies
  • Snowball Cookies
  • Chocolate Peppermint Crinkle Cookies

All classes are taught by a culinary professional with 2 adult assistants.

Classes are designed for students 8 to 12 years old.

No prior cooking experience is required, just an interest to learn.

For safety reasons, please tie long hair back and wear closed toed shoes.

Students will be working with flour, butter and eggs so we cannot accommodate students with allergies to working with gluten, dairy or eggs.
