The Spanish Kitchen – Chicken Bravas

Spanish Chicken Bravas is a classic, one pot dinner, loaded with flavors that takes you right to the Mediterranean!
Join Chef Hend Yahya in this hands-on class where you will learn how to make the Bravas Sauce which is the key to this popular chicken dish. The rich spiciness from the homemade bravas sauce flavors the chichen to perfection.  Along with your Chicken Bravas you will make a refreshing Pipirrana salad with colorful chopped vegetables. For dessert, an undeniably delicious Portuguese treat, the “pastel de nata” or the Portuguese egg tart, a flaky pastry shell filled with a flavored egg custard.

  • Chicken Bravas – with a smokey Paprika Tomato Sauce mixed of Olives and Butter Beans
  • Pipirrana Salad; Tomatoes, Peppers, Onion and Cucumber, with a Olive Oil , Vinegar and Garlic Dressing

Chef Hend Yahya is a culinary trained professional and graduate. She has trained and worked in various kitchens under Michelin Star chefs as well as high end catering companies. Her love and respect for regional and international cuisines has brought her to work in celebrated food cities such as Paris, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Portland, Honolulu and now Seattle. Years ago, she discovered her passion to teach others how to cook and has since made the switch from working behind the scenes in kitchens, to showcasing in front of students. She brings patience, attention and skill to every class in the hopes that every student will be inspired to cook at home and try something new. Her storytelling through food is her favorite way of engaging with people, forming connections and understandings.

New York Pizza Workshop

Join Chef Drew Flanders in this hands-on pizza workshop to learn the secrets to successfully create a New York Style handmade pizza. You’ll mix, stretch, shape and toss. Then, when ready, you’ll top and bake your creation to a blistered crust. You will learn how to make your basic home oven as hot as a pizzeria to create the perfect pizza at home anytime!

You will each make and enjoy 3 different pizzas with handmade dough tossed to perfection!

  • Heirloom Tomato, Basil, Ricotta
  • Italian Sausage, Broccoli Rabe, Smoked Mozzarella
  • Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Mama Lil’s Peppers, Provolone
  • Take home the dough you make in class to practice tomorrow or the next day!

Argentina Inspired Gaucho Grilling
