Kids in the Kitchen After School – Cookie Jar

Class is designed for kids 8-12 years old

Calling all bakers to our Kids in the Kitchen cookie class, where you’ll learn to make a simple dough base that can be altered to become just about any kind of cookie. Pastry Chef Thanh Tang will teach you how the type of flour you use, or the amount of mixing you do has on you cookie, in size, shape and chew.

In this class you will  make a

Triple chocolate chip cookie (dark,milk and white chocolate ….yum)

Oatmeal Raisin

  • All classes are taught by a culinary professional with 2 adult assistants.
  • No prior cooking experience is required, just an interest to learn.
  • For safety reasons, please tie long hair back and wear closed toed shoes.

Kids in the Kitchen After School – Pizza and Pretzels

This class is designed for kids ages 8 to 12

Get the basics of baking a variety of favorites ingrained early! Pastry Chef Thanh Tang,  will teach your kids baking techniques that get foolproof results: measuring for consistency, mixing processes and best ingredients to use … also, hints and tips for how to adjust a basic recipe for variations. Hand selected, kid-tested favorites will be taught in a way that makes learning fun and builds lasting pride. Kids will sample their creations and take some home to share!

Today’s class is focused on dough where they will make a shape a personal pizza from an assortment of toppings and make half a dozen salted bagels.

KIds in the Kitchen After School – Keep it Rolling

  • Class is designed for students 8 to 12 years old.

Your kids will love this class – Keep It Rolling is a hands-on class that will introduce kids to Asian flavors, while keeping the food fun, fresh and simple. Chef Thanh Tang will teach the kids a new take on three classic rolls – using different ways of rolling deliciousness into neat little packets, filled with fresh and healthy ingredients! Get your kids to experience their veggies in a way that is fun to eat all while practicing being mindful as they put together their rolls! Inspire them to try something new, create their own ideas for rolls and develop lasting pride in their cooking abilities. In this class we will make and taste:

Crispy Chicken Egg Rolls

Crab and Avocado Sushi Rolls

The class will eat some here and take extras home to share.
