Whisk opened a cooking school with the goal in mind of connecting people with the joy of cooking, eating and entertaining. Each class is structured to provide full hands-on experience in our modern, well appointed kitchen where 4 Blue Star ranges await you. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and immerse themselves in the process of cooking, and at the same time have fun!
We have a talented team of chef instructors; from different regional backgrounds, chefs who have worked in the top restaurants in Seattle, studied at Cordon Bleu or trained under some of the most notable chefs in the country.
About The Classes
All of the classes on our website are available to book for private events. Some of our most popular classes are The Make Ahead Seasonal Three Course Dinner, Regional favorites; The Spanish Kitchen-Paella, French Classics, Asian Dumplings, Dim Sum & Phõ, seasonal dinners from Grilling to Game Day Favorites, Homemade Pizza and of course Fresh Pasta. Baking classes are also favorites. We are most famous for our Sourdough 101, Macaron, Pie, Cake, and Croissants. We use local and fresh ingredients whenever possible. Prices for baking classes, on average, are $90-95, cooking events with proteins range $100.-$115. If you do not see something that interests you, customizing a event is an option we are glad to do.
Our private event classes are designed for all types of groups, bridal showers to friend and family outings.
Cooking classes also provide an interactive and collaborative setting for corporate team building events and client entertaining.
Monday and Tuesday we can schedule smaller groups of at least 12, Wednesday – Sunday group sizes of 16-22 are required.
We supply everything you need, classes are 2.5 – 3 hours in duration, with hands on prep, cooking and then indulging.
Price includes small bites and wine to begin, and wine again with the meal you have created. Some dinners are served family style, but most are plated and served.
Guests receive 15% off in our retail store the day of their event.
A credit card will be needed to secure a date, once the menu and chef are finalized a non refundable 50% deposit is required. If for any reason you need to cancel we will be glad to apply your deposit to another event within the year. Final payment is due 2 weeks from the date of the event with a final the headcount. Gratuity is not included in the price and is optional but appreciated.
Parking is free in The Meyden Building Retail Parking on the lower level in a designated retail parking spot.
