The Mexican Kitchen – Beyond Mariscos

We are delighted to welcome local author, Andrea Pons, to the Whisk kitchen in celebration of her new book, Mamacita: Recipes Celebrating Life as a Mexican Immigrant in America. In this inspiring and creative Mexican cookbook, Andrea takes you on a journey through flavor, family, and her immigration story.

Join us in a special hands-on class where Andrea will share her family’s “Pescado en Salsa Verde” recipe, which is a mouthwatering fish dish featuring a tangy and flavorful green sauce. This dish is sure to impress your taste buds and your dinner guests. You will learn the secrets to making the perfect salsa verde, as well as tips and tricks for cooking fish to perfection. In addition, you will prepare a delicious rice dish with watercress, which is a perfect complement to the fish entree. To round out the meal, you will make a creamy avocado dressing that is both refreshing and satisfying and is sure to become a staple in your kitchen.
