The Italian Kitchen – Italy Inspired Fresh Pasta Sauces

Pasta for dinner is a quick and easy staple in most kitchens. You know the kind you can pick up from the grocery store. Well, in the hands-on class, we are going to focus on how to take the store bought pasta from ho-hum to wow-wow-wow!!!, with these creative sauces inspired by our Italian expert–Iole’s  recent trip to Italy. Iole Aguero will use traditional Italian pantry staples to whip up four sauces that will make your family think they’ve just been on a trip to Italy. In this hands-on class, we will make:

Spaghetti ala Sircuse  – from Ortigia with Sundried Tomatoes, Pine Nuts, Golden Raisins, Capers;

Spaghetti with a Sicilian Pesto Sauce of Tomatoes, Basil, Garlic, Almonds;

Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe – from Roma with Cheese and Pepper sauce;

Pasta ali’a Lucanian – from Maretea with Tomatoes, Italian Sausage.

Served with a Lemon Chive Butter Lettuce Salad and wine of course!
