Inspired by Cuba’s Buena Vista Social Club – Cuban Tapas

Cuban cuisine has been influenced by the numerous cultures around the world, from Spain to Africa to even China. Cuban cooking relies on fresh, seasonal and colorful fruits and vegetables, and  flavors from herbs, spices & aromatics that adds a Caribbean twist to its Latin American roots & flavors.

In this hands on class you can visit Havana on multiple small plates. Let Cuban born and raised Chef Yary teach you some of her favorite dishes and share some of her experiences from her homeland. Inspired by The Buena Vista Social Club, Chef Yary gives it a new world update in her bistro bar tapa’s class.  This menu is delicioso!

Ceviche De Mariscos – Cuban style ceviche with shrimp, crab, scallops, pineapple, cilantro,with Plantain Chips

Papas Rellena – Fried stuffed potato,  Cuban style with ground beef and a garlic-saffron aioli

Empanadas de Pollo y queso  – Chicken, cheese  Empanadas with Romesco dip

Tostones Con Carne – Cuban classic double fried  plantains crackers  topped  with pork carnitas
