Summer Fresh Thai

Hold the heavy coconut sauces and make way to the lighter summery-side of Thai cuisine. In this hands on class, you will become familiar with Thai ingredients, learn about balancing sweet, sour and  salty flavors, and how to work with rice paper wrappers–building your skill in making summer rolls. Chef Barbara Sowatsky will cover knife skills that you will use in all your cooking, where to shop for the best ingredients, suitable substitutions and ways of using Thai flavors in everyday cooking. In this class you will make:

Grilled Shrimp Summer Rolls with Chili and Peanut Dipping Sauces,

Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wraps with Thai Cucumber Relish,

Yellow Curried Shrimp Soup.
