Kids In the Kitchen – The French Macaron
Class is designed for boys and girls ages 8 to 12.
Put your hand up if you’d love to learn to use a piping bag! French Macarons are elegant piped almond meringue cookies, sandwiched together with a velvety buttercream. In this hand-on class, Pastry Chef Thanh Tang will take you step-by-step through making meringue and the perfect macaron batter, piping the perfect rounds (that are all the same size), and the technique for a dreamy Swiss buttercream you will want to use for frosting all your cakes. What you don’t eat in class you can take home for family and friends. You will make a selection of different colored Macarons sandwiched together with Swiss Vanilla Buttercream or Dark Chocolate Ganache and your choice of seasonal flavors like Cranberry, Ginger, Tangerine and Peppermint for the perfect fall Macarons.
