Kids in the Kitchen – Explore the Pacific Northwest
This 5-day camp is designed for kids ages 8-12.

FROM 10 AM – 12 PM
The PNW is an outdoor lover’s paradise. In this class, let Chef Lee Baker take your child on different outdoor adventures through themed menus everyday. Some of these meals pack up great for local day trips and others highlight special foods of the region. Kids will have fun and learn about the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Monday: Berries from Mercer Slough
Chicken and Blackberry Cream Cheese Pinwheels, Blueberry Scones with Clotted Cream, Very Berry Jammy Biscuits (Shortbread Cookies with Jam Centers), Berry Lemonade
Tuesday: Picnic for a Local Park
BBQ Chicken Sliders, Roast Corn on the Cob, Watermelon Skewers, S’mores Bars
Wednesday: Clams from the Puget Sound
Clam Chowder, Cheddar Cheese Goldfish Crackers, Cinnamon and Sugar Sand Dollar Cookies
Thursday: Salmon from local Lakes & Rivers
Salmon Roll, Baked PNW Russet & Sweet Potato Chips, Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies
Friday: Food for Mountain Hiking and Biking
Granola Bars, Apple Rings with Date Caramel Spread, Homemade Pita Pocket Sandwiches with filling options of hummus, sliced roast turkey, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and black olives)
All classes are taught by a Culinary Professional, with 2 adult assistants.
No prior cooking experience is required, just an interest to learn.
For safety reasons, please tie long hair back and wear closed-toed shoes.
Students will be working with flour, butter and eggs and so we cannot accommodate students with allergies to working with gluten, dairy or eggs.
